Relaxation Tips

We could all use some suggestions on how to relax. Dealing with stress on a day-to-day basis is draining and detrimental to your health. A relaxation program is a priority in your holistic health and healing plan. Find something that works for you and stick with it. Your body, mind, spirit and soul will thank you for it.

1. Meditation. Meditation lowers blood pressure, calms your mind, and gives you a sense of clarity and control over your life. Matt Clarkson offers a FREE
Secrets of Meditation Course you can try.

2. Aromatherapy. The scent of lavender has been shown to calm you and relieve stress. You can add lavender scented oil to your bath water, place a tissue with a drop or two of essential oil of lavender added under your pillow, light lavender scented candles, or place essential oil of lavender in diffusers.

3. Exercise. Sometimes just a simple walk around the block before dinner, breathing the fresh air, clearing your head, is enough of a transition from the workday stress to a relaxing home life. At other times you need a more structured form like Yoga, Qigong, or Tai Chi. You can try Yoga for Beginners.

4. Reflexology/Acupressure. Learning to find the pressure points on your body to release stress is like performing Acupuncture on yourself. Get this

5. Herbal Tea. Nothing is as soothing as a cup of chamomile or peppermint herbal tea. Sweeten with honey to your taste and enjoy. Try Valerian before bed if you have trouble sleeping. You can get your tea from
Boca Java Coffee & Tea.

6. Create a Personal Sanctuary. A comfy chair and ottoman in a quiet corner. A hot tub filled with scented water and surrounded by scented candles. A bench or swing in the garden surrounded by clematis or hummingbird vines and sweetly scented rose bushes. Use your imagination.

7. Be Assertive. Learn to set limits on your time and energy: Learn to say NO. Stand up for yourself. Express your feelings honestly and comfortably, but not aggressively. Learn to know the difference. Studies show that when you do this, you will reduce your anxiety and overcome depression.
Hypnosis tapes can help you overcome shyness and gain confidence.

These are just a few suggestions on relaxation and health. For more on the subject, go to the

To your health and happiness,
